Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 19, 2026

Welcome to Perez Tax Services. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Perez Tax Services website and related online services, including appointment scheduling, forms, document uploads, communications, and payments.

By accessing our website, scheduling a consultation, submitting information, uploading documents, purchasing a service, or otherwise using our website, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the website.

1. About Perez Tax Services

Perez Tax Services provides tax preparation and related tax assistance services.

Information available on this website is intended to provide general information regarding our services and is not a substitute for individualized tax, legal, investment, or financial advice applicable to every situation.

Tax-related recommendations or conclusions regarding your specific circumstances can only be made after we receive and review the information necessary to evaluate your situation.

2. No Automatic Client Relationship

Visiting this website, submitting a consultation request, completing an intake form, sending a message, or uploading documents does not by itself create a tax preparer-client relationship.

A professional relationship begins only after Perez Tax Services agrees to provide services to you and any required engagement, identification, payment, documentation, or authorization requirements have been completed.

Perez Tax Services reserves the right to decline or discontinue an engagement when permitted by law.

3. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful information.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal and tax information

  • Provide all relevant income and tax documents

  • Inform us of income, deductions, credits, dependents, businesses, investments, and other circumstances that may affect your tax return

  • Review information provided to Perez Tax Services for accuracy

  • Respond to reasonable requests for additional documents or clarification

  • Notify us if information previously provided changes

  • Review your completed tax return before authorizing filing

  • Maintain copies of your tax documents and completed returns for your own records

Perez Tax Services is entitled to rely on information and documentation you provide unless there is a reason to believe that information is incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent.

4. Tax Return Accuracy

Perez Tax Services will prepare tax returns based on the information made available by the client and in accordance with applicable tax preparation requirements.

You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

Perez Tax Services is not responsible for additional tax, penalties, interest, delays, rejected returns, or other consequences caused by inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or omitted information provided by a client.

If an error attributable to Perez Tax Services is identified, please contact us promptly so the matter can be reviewed.

5. Tax Outcomes Are Not Guaranteed

Perez Tax Services does not guarantee:

  • A particular tax refund amount

  • That a client will receive a refund

  • A particular tax liability

  • The approval of any credit or deduction

  • The timing of a federal or state refund

  • The outcome of an IRS or state tax agency review, audit, examination, or inquiry

Refund amounts and tax liabilities depend on the individual facts and circumstances of each taxpayer and applicable law.

Once a tax return has been accepted for processing by the IRS or another taxing authority, processing times are controlled by that government agency.

6. Consultations

Perez Tax Services may offer complimentary consultations to prospective clients.

A consultation is intended to obtain general information about your tax situation, discuss available services, and determine whether Perez Tax Services may be able to assist you.

A consultation does not guarantee that Perez Tax Services will accept the engagement or prepare your return.

7. Pricing and Payments

Current service prices or "Founding"/starting prices may be displayed on our website.

Prices may vary based on factors including:

  • Complexity of the tax return

  • Number and type of tax forms

  • Self-employment or business activity

  • Additional schedules

  • Prior-year returns

  • Amendments

  • Additional services requested

  • Other circumstances requiring additional preparation or research

When a service is advertised as “starting at” a particular amount, the final price may be higher depending on the work required.

Any applicable price will be communicated before or during the engagement as appropriate.

Payment may be collected through the payment methods made available by Perez Tax Services.

8. Deposits, Cancellations, and Refunds

If Perez Tax Services requires a deposit, advance payment, booking fee, or other payment, the refund and cancellation terms communicated at the time of booking, invoice, or purchase will apply.

Payments for work already completed may be nonrefundable to the extent permitted by law.

If circumstances prevent Perez Tax Services from completing a paid service, any refund or credit will be determined based on the work already performed and the circumstances of the engagement.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights required by applicable law.

9. Document Submission

Clients may be asked to submit documents electronically through an approved document upload method.

You agree to submit only documents that:

  • Belong to you;

  • You are legally authorized to provide; or

  • Relate to another person whose information you are authorized to provide for purposes of your tax return.

Do not submit documents belonging to another taxpayer without authorization.

Clients should use the secure document submission method provided by Perez Tax Services whenever submitting Social Security numbers, tax documents, identification documents, banking information, or other sensitive information.

Additional requirements regarding document uploads are described in our Document Upload & Security Notice.

10. Electronic Communications

By providing your email address or telephone number, you authorize Perez Tax Services to contact you regarding your inquiry, consultation, tax preparation engagement, documents, appointments, payments, and related service matters.

Electronic communications may include email, telephone calls, text messages, website notifications, or other communication methods you choose to use with us.

Ordinary email and text messages may not be appropriate for transmitting highly sensitive information.

Clients should not send complete Social Security numbers, copies of tax documents, identification documents, or complete financial account information through unsecured communication methods unless specifically directed to an approved secure method.

11. Electronic Signatures and Authorizations

Perez Tax Services may use electronic signatures or electronic acknowledgments where permitted by law.

Certain tax forms, authorizations, disclosures, consents, or other documents may have additional federal or state signature requirements.

Acceptance of these Terms does not constitute your signature or consent for any separate authorization that federal or state law requires to be executed independently, including any taxpayer consent required under Internal Revenue Code Section 7216.

12. Filing Authorization

Perez Tax Services will not electronically file a tax return until any required client review, signatures, authorizations, and other filing requirements have been completed.

Your submission of tax information or payment for tax preparation services does not by itself authorize electronic filing.

You are responsible for reviewing your return and confirming that the information is accurate before authorizing submission.

13. Filing Deadlines and Extensions

Clients are responsible for providing requested information sufficiently in advance of applicable filing deadlines.

Perez Tax Services does not guarantee that a return can be completed by a particular deadline when documents or information are submitted late, incomplete, or require additional clarification.

If additional time is required, an extension may be recommended or prepared when appropriate.

An extension of time to file generally does not extend the time to pay any tax owed.

14. Government Notices and Audits

Unless separately agreed to, standard tax preparation services do not automatically include:

  • IRS audit representation

  • State tax agency representation

  • Responses to tax notices

  • Appeals

  • Tax controversy services

  • Legal representation

If you receive a notice relating to a return prepared by Perez Tax Services, you may contact us to discuss the notice and determine whether additional assistance is available.

Additional services may be subject to separate fees.

16. Privacy and Confidentiality

Information submitted to Perez Tax Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable confidentiality requirements.

Tax return information is also subject to federal restrictions regarding its use and disclosure.

Perez Tax Services does not obtain permission to use or disclose otherwise protected tax return information merely because a client agrees to these Terms.

When separate taxpayer consent is legally required, it will be requested separately.

17. Website Availability

We strive to keep our website and online services available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

  • Maintenance
